About Domestic Violence Ministry
Domestic Violence is a prevalent crime in the United States and in the world at large. The church is not immune to the ravages of this hideous sin. Domestic Violence includes the use of physical and emotional abuse to control another person. Domestic Violence devastates individuals and destroys families. At Zarephath Christian Church, our mission is to encourage victims and perpetrators of Domestic Violence to pursue deliverance, healing, and renewal through the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 61:1). Into the hovels of the poor… God speaks, “I’ve had enough, I’m on My way to heal the ache in the heart of the wretched.” (Psalm 5:12 The Message)
Our Domestic Violence Ministry is available to bring awareness and education to the Body of Christ and their families. We provide pastoral care to victims and perpetrators, as well as referrals to facilities offering safety and shelter. Our vision is to establish Healing and Renewal Growth Groups that will support and encourage those affected by Domestic Violence.
Domestic Violence may occur daily, or may happen once in a while. The perpetrator may be a family member or someone you are dating.
