What do you think of when you hear the word "worship"?
For many of us, we think of singing in a church service, or prayer, or
raising our hands. While these are expressions of worship, it means much
more than this!
At ZCC, the idea of "worship" is so simple: worship is a response to God.
That's it. We believe God has been calling our hearts, and all we need
to do is respond to Him. That is worship.
Jesus told us in John 4:23 that "...true worshipers will worship the Father
in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks."
God seeks whole-hearted worship, not just an offering of worship on Sunday
morning.
What does whole-hearted worship look like? Whole-hearted worship happens
when we give our whole life towards pleasing God, because worship happens
when we please Him!
Worship occurs through our whole life: our work, our family, our play.
At ZCC, whether we are singing His praises in song, or exalting Him as
we listen to His word, we are renewing ourselves in a lifestyle of worship.
We are responding to Him.
Raphael Giglio is our Minister
of Worship.
